About This Station
Chongwe Baptist Church is a thriving mission station in Lusaka Province, centered on the Gospel call to “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.” Through faithful ministry, gospel growth, and community engagement, the church is building a transformed congregation devoted to the person and work of Christ.
Leadership
The congregation is served by Pastor Arthur Phiri (ordained June 29, 2025) along with three Elders and two Deacons, providing strong pastoral and spiritual care to the body.
Growing in Grace
The congregation celebrated significant milestones in 2025, including ten new baptisms in November and the ordination of Pastor Arthur Phiri in June. The church is experiencing growth not only in membership but in spiritual maturity and gospel fruitfulness. Most recently, the congregation broke ground on the main sanctuary in March 2025, an exciting step in the church’s ongoing development.

University Outreach
The congregation maintains a strong focus on reaching university students, with active ministry at Chalimbana University and the RAFIKI student center.

Chongwe Baptist is committed to gospel expansion and discipleship multiplication, particularly among young people and in surrounding communities. University outreach remains a priority focus area for the congregation.
